Eckhart Tolle talks on spirituality and ego

We often form an image of ourselves in our mind of being superior or inferior, and that conditions our mind to react in a certain way, trying to defend our ego. When you identify this self image it can lead to obstacles on the spiritual path. This process leads to an unconscious living as you push aside something that doesn’t fit in your self image.

In this video Eckhart Tolle, a German spiritual teacher, talks about living free of self images, and only when you observe it you would be liberated from the ego trap and progress on the spiritual path.

He has given a beautiful example of learning from animals, who are deeply connected to their natural source, and how they live without any self image and act naturally. Its an inspiring video of knocking down those barriers, ego, and the illusionary world one has formed for himself.

The moment you start looking for a concept connection for yourself you are bouncing away from your inner true. “Then you ask what am i?”
when you try to connect “me” or “i” in the concepts your culture provides you, you are doin it wrong. lol
instead, tell yourself to STFU and endure the silence of the self. If if then feels meaningless, (a sence of suffocating silence) your probably closer to find something new. Something completely Out-Of-the-Box. then if something that you did not mentally conceived reaches your mind and you try to give it a “meaning” or mentally reach it, you will probably loose it back to cognition land.

every thing may be an illusion…even imaginary spirituality may be an illusion that spiritual people have!…nothing can be taken for granted just by the label some people choose to attach themselves to!…everyones ecperience is completly unique anyway..to group people under categories is freudian psychology! ….and spirituality is such a cheesy word too….makes people think that its all fun and games… which may be why it has the emotional baggage of all the cheesy spiritual crowd too…..prefer calling it a constantly learning natural intelligence or evolutionary universal wisdom…and thats not the same as an encyclopedic general knowledge! further, anybody who disturbs this constant learning process with a fixed personality and hence judgements, whether consciously or subconsciously…is an illusionist and if done consciously they are out to use for personal gains and if done subconsiously they are out to dominate you!…but worry not as they will end up nowhere, tricked by their own illusions! and as for the ideal path…..the sufi’s and rastafari’s put it best…..sometimes one must go to the depths of hell, to realize the depths of heaven on earth and the gift of life…boom..;}!
