Mother’s Day Special

Submitted by No Comment

Mother and her ChildI have not been the best son a mother could have, I have put my self into innumerable situations that would displease mother. Only a mother can have undying and unconditional love for you her child.

My mother recently spoke to me about the sacrifices that she has made throughout her life to bring us up her children, my sister and me. Things like leaving work and running to get into the bus no matter how crowded it was just so that she could be home to be with us when we were kids.

The times when we were sick in bed, the much needed warmth received from a mother nurtures you back to health. Mother’s Day is the one day that people all around the world dedicate to thanking our mothers for all they have done for us.

“Mothers Day is in honor of the best Mother who ever lived – the Mother of your heart” – Anna Jarvis

“All that I am my mother made me.”
- John Quincy Adams

“Whatever else is unsure in this stinking dunghill of a world a mother’s love is not.”
- James Joyce

“The Mother-child relationship is paradoxical and, in a sense, tragic. It requires the most intense love on the mother’s side, yet this very love must help the child grow away from the mother and to become fully independent.”
- Erich Fromm

All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That’s his.
- Oscar Wilde, The Importance of Being Earnest, 1895

Interesting Song’s on Mother:

Two songs that have been very close to my heart and will strike a bell with my Mama are Pink Floyd’s Mother and Ozzy Osburn’s Mama I’m Coming Home.

Pink Floyd – Mother Lyrics

Mother, do you think they’ll drop the bomb?
Mother, do you think they’ll like this song?
Mother, do you think they’ll try to break my balls?
Ooooowaa Mother, should I build a wall?
Mother, should I run for President?
Mother, should I trust the government?
Mother, will they put me in the firing line?
Ooooowaa Is it just a waste of time?
Hush, my baby. Baby, don’t you cry.
Momma’s gonna make all of your nightmares come true.
Momma’s gonna put all of her fears into you.
Momma’s gonna keep you right here under her wing.
She won’t let you fly, but she might let you sing.
Momma’s gonna keep Baby cozy and warm.

Pinks Floyd, mother is a beautiful example of the role a mother plays in a child’s life.

Ozzy Osburne: Mama I’m Coming Home

Times have changed and times are strange
Here I come, but I aint the same
Mama, Im coming home
Times gone by seem to be
You could have been a better friend to me
Mama, Im coming home

You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes

You made me cry, you told me lies
But I cant stand to say goodbye
Mama, Im coming home
I could be right, I could be wrong
Hurts so bad, its been so long
Mama, Im coming home
