The Language of Symbols

Submitted by No Comment

Tarot CardI went for a tarot card reading when a friend proposed to do it for me as she knows how to read the language of symbols and has been practising for quite some time. Though I don’t believe in such readings or palmistry or astrology, but sometimes it just defies your beliefs.

Tarot card reading is about coming face to face with yourself. Many believe it assists a person to determine his/her true position in life and find new directions in which to move forward.

From my personal experience I think in some way it does help channelise your subconscious in the right direction.

The Read

A pack of 78 cards are placed on the table, and the person whose reading is done has to use his/her left hand (considered as the spiritual hand) and shuffle it clockwise and repeat the question three times in his mind, obviously, and pick the card. Voila! You have the interpretation of the situation in front of you.

I came across this interesting article on a website, here’s the extract:

The symbols in the cards are a mirror for what is around us and what lies within us. The images on the cards act as reflections of the unknown information buried deep in our unconscious mind. Tarot cards work as a bridge between our conscious and unconscious existence. The cards act as revealers that the unconscious mind already perceives and then makes known to our consciousness.

The special nature of Tarot cards is best displayed when you continuously work with them. Coming to an understanding of what your dreams mean when you sleep is best done when you look at a series of dreams, rather than a single one. The same holds true for the Tarot. Visiting this site frequently for readings, or even having a daily reading is one way of establishing continuity in understanding what forces are working in your life. As soon as you understanding that, then you can work with those forces to make progress in your life, instead of letting them work against you.

Tarot readers are also suppose to handle their cards with great care in the sense, place it in a location where others can’t get hold of, as negative energy or thoughts might have some effect on the cards. Interesting!!!

So when is your first reading happening?
