Admiring the beauty of nature is something we both like to do. An important element of nature that conjures up vivid memory is the setting sun.

Sunset is always a treat for the eyes, you only need to take some time to notice it. You see it from anywhere in the world, the clouds, skies and the setting sun combine to make a colorful show in the sky.

I have made a small collection of some of the sunsets we have photographed at different places in India and few abroad. Let the show begin!

The temple town of Hampi, in Karnataka, is known for its mesmerising sunset and sunrise. Due to our laziness, we never managed to see the morning sky, but evenings were equally scintillating. The sky just transforms into vibrant shades of orange, red, purple. That’s Hampi is one of my favorite places. This was taken in Seven bungalows, the western suburb in Andheri, Mumbai. Definitely the best sunset I have seen in the city. It seems perfect, the clouds seem to be having party with the sun going down. Truly majestic! The setting sun always springs a surprise. This was taken at Om Beach, Gokarna. Wonderful view of the sunset from top of cliff in Manori beach, a quick getaway 40 kms away from Mumbai. Golden yellowish streaks of the sun rays fill the horizon at Putrajaya, the administrative capital of Malaysia. The view from its Convention Centre is quite amazing!I choose this picture because it looks intense, if you look closely you can still see a speck of orange fading away, the clouds getting darker and few birds flying by.
