Morose Paintings of Tetsuya Ishida

Some <3 ju lutem :)

Tetsuya Ishida painting Tetsuya Ishida, a Japanese artist, was known for painting dark and morbid scenes, depicting struggles of modern day life in Japan.

The characters in his paintings appear to be distressed and sulky, and in a few of them their bodies are in pieces and part of a machine.

If you take a look at his work, you will get a feeling that its trying to convey a much deeper meaning, at least thats how I felt, so I thought of blogging about it.

Ishida died at the age of 31 after being hit by a train, which some believe was a suicide. That’s easy to believe on seeing the depressed expressions in his paintings.
Tetsuya Ishida painting Would this be heights of modernisation? The modern world There are ways of intepreting a painting, depends on your imagination. This one I feel connotes huamns being trapped in the concrete jungle. Caught in a concrete jungle
Ishida, Japanese artist This image looks like the body parts are going to be assembled, maybe of a mannequin. Paintings of Japanese artist I found this one to be very interesting, the way I see it, we should protect our environment and marine life.
Ishida's painting Ishida left behind about 180 works created during his 10-year art career. They are quite interesting. Stressed life
