Namaste from the Sweltering Heat in India!
I just finished my regular yoga routine, been practicing it for quite a while. What an amazing way to kickstart the day – it gets the energy moving through your body, and once you tune into the flow, you can transform your practice into a spiritually healing experience.
This is what yoga is all about, its not about showing off your flexibility, but syncing your body's movement with your Prana, the life force that runs within each one of us, clearing blockages and energy pathways that obstruct the flow of Prana, and turning your practice into a cosmic dance.
Personally, practicing yoga has helped me reconnect with my inner self, made me more aware, more flexible and definitely improved my immune system. Its how Joseph Campbell puts it, “Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again."
It can be a very deep practice, and at the same time it can heal us from many diseases and ailments.

When you’re stressed, your gut knows it immediately, and you also might experience gastrointestinal upset or stomach pain. Yoga asanas combined with breath work will not only take care of the digestive system, but also help to maintain a positive & healthy mindset.

Five Yoga Poses for a Healthy Spine
“It is the job of the spine to keep the brain alert. The moment the spine collapses, the brain collapses.” ~ B.K.S. Iyenger
A building without a strong foundation is bound to collapse. Similarly, a body without a healthy spine is headed for a downfall – it leads to illness, inflexibility and stress. The spine is responsible for the energy anatomy of the body, form and functions. Without the spinal cord it is impossible for us to function even for a second.

Five Yoga Poses to Alleviate Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain can affect almost one and all at some point in our life. Sedentary lifestyle, eating habits, lack of exercise, stress, negative emotions etc. is often the cause for low back pain. Varying in level, the pain can be severe or worse, temporary or permanent, based on sex, age, lifestyle, occupation and other social situations.
In 2012, nearly 29% of the US population age 18 years and older self-reported having had low back pain. Tap into the Power of Lunar Energy with Moon Salutation (Chandra Namaskar)
“The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.” ~ Ming-Dao Deng, Everyday Tao: Living with Balance and Harmony
Surya Namaskar, the sacred salutations to the Sun, is practised to express gratitude to the sun for sustaining life on this planet; its also a practice of honouring our masculine (sun) energy. But to create a balance in our practice, as advocated in Hatha yoga too, and to nurture the energy of the divine feminine, Chandra Namaskar or moon salutation helps to replenish our vital energy.
