Hi ,
I don't have to be hard on myself I need to make time to do some self care - yoga. It is okay if my weekends are unplanned. It is okay to be at home and do nothing. It is okay to have a select group of people to hang out with. It is okay if the house is left messy and the kitchen cluttered. It is okay if breathing in and breathing out is the only meditation you make time for. It is okay to indulge in that extra piece of chocolate. It is okay to feel that your spiritual progression has been stagnant. It is okay to take a break from the routine.
I sometimes go on this guilt trip that I struggle to wake up early, for meditation, I haven’t spent time reading something spiritual and I haven’t created something in a while, be it a dreamcatcher, or complete the cloth doll for our 22-month old baby.
I also realize that there are innumerable things to do in a day which I juggle in and out of - children, home, work, and so on. It is absolutely okay if you give yourself some slack, because you deserve it.
Life has been crazy busy, keeping on my toes all the time. Giving yourself some slack is a reward for the hard work you do in a day, doesn’t have to be physical hard work, but on any level - spiritual or emotional. It means you are respecting your own self-worth. At the same time, it also helps you gain some clarity in life. So, why not?
Have you cut yourself a slack lately? What is it? Would love to hear…
