When I read this story, it moved something within. In the pursuit of happiness, we forget the lessons we learn from sorrow, we forget the growth we experience when life brings us challenges, we forget the wisdom that lies in darkness. Happiness and sorrow goes hand in hand. The line that spoke the most to me, “The Pearl of Sorrow, the last pearl, which must never be lacking! Through it the light and splendour of all other gifts are enhanced.”
The circle of life, our existence is incomplete without this last pearl, ‘sorrow’. We write about spirituality, self-development and so on, but what I realised is that we too need constant reminders that within sorrow lies the wings of ‘transformation’, that the spirit needs to be free.
What speaks to you the most in the story?
Have a blissful, introspective Sunday!
