Let go has become a very common term nowadays. It's so easy to advise others that you must let go of your old beliefs, habits, of a relationship, negative thoughts or anything that has been a deterrent on our path.
It puts pressure on the person who is already coping with a certain life situation and saying let go doesn’t really help. Letting go isn’t a one-time thing. It's a process that needs to be broken down into different steps - - Seeing the situation with a different lens, a change of perspective.
- Forgiving yourself and others involved.
- Spending time with yourself to get better clarity.
- Releasing all the unhealed emotions.
The release comes in different forms, and there is no fixed timeline to it. So letting go is not just about getting over an obstacle but also realising that the obstacle is the path. Letting go is not like cleaning up your closet, one tiny step at a time.
