Before another year goes by, let us hold a strong intention to work on ourselves, to make use of every moment to become a better person. The image that came to my mind during my morning meditation was of a pencil. At first glance, a pencil appears to be a simple piece of wood with lead inside, and we use it to write, make beautiful sketches etc. When you delve deeper into it, we uncover important lessons about life. To be truly effective, a pencil must be sharpened and resharpened repeatedly - similarly, life throws challenges and obstacles our way, and when we use these as opportunities, we become resilient and set the stage for personal growth. Akin to an eraser, we have the capacity to correct many of the mistakes we make along the way, provided we transform these mistakes into valuable lessons. When we treat our errors as stepping stones rather than failures, we unlock the pathway to improvement. Every situation we encounter allows us to leave our imprint on the world. Remember, you are writing your own story, transform challenges into stepping stones and never stop writing. Lastly, the most important part of you lies within. As we are set to embrace the new year, these reminders will go a long way to fuel our growth.
