“You have power over your mind, not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”

Marcus Aurelius

‌

Marcus Aurelius, the former Roman emperor and Stoic philosopher, mentioned in his book, Meditations, that he practiced using his weaker hand to hold the reins of his horse.

He used this as a practice to embrace challenges and obstacles in his life, and also to achieve self-mastery.
How can using your weaker hand lead to self-mastery? Or how can a practice like this help you to overcome challenges?

When we do something that pushes us out of our comfort zone, it is uncomfortable, yes, for sure, nobody likes to be uncomfortable, we all prefer to stay in our comfort zones.

But it's also the key to unlocking our true potential. It is a test of our will, resilience, endurance, and courage.

Stoicism also applies this idea in everyday life, in every action we take and decisions we make, choose the option that challenges you the most.

I have spoken about it in our latest video.
