“We suffer more in imagination than in reality.”

Seneca
‌
‌

Dear ,

Pain is real. We feel it in loss, when a family member is battling a disease, when relationships end, loss of job, financial crisis, we feel it. Heart aches, the body is exhausted and the mind is on overdrive.

We run away from pain. We try to escape it by chasing happiness. The fact is that
nobody can erase pain. Nobody can change the nature of its existence. And yet…there is a strange truth hidden inside that pain.

But what if pain is not the enemy? What if the pain we fear is not the final reality. What if… it’s a doorway?

"Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional."

Haruki Murakami
‌
‌

Instead of fearing it and running from it, one could… get through it, go beyond it. There is something beyond it. It’s the self that suffers, but there’s a place where the self dissolves.

A place beyond fear. Beyond resistance. Beyond suffering. Because when you stop running… when you endure it fully…You don’t become weaker. You become free.
