Hi ,

Living in a society makes it easy to get dragged into inconsequential, frivolous things until you pause and reflect on how you spend your time, and where you should invest your energy. What am I getting from this? Is this real joy? Am I serving my purpose in life?

‌
‌

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.

I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.

I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no "brief candle" for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.

George Bernard Shaw

‌

I was speaking with a friend of mine, who stated he has so much work to do that it's piling up, and that he doesn't feel like getting to it or a drive anymore. He's beginning to value his time more and would rather read a book.

If you have your resources taken care of, it becomes so much easier to spend time with family to create meaningful connections and spiritual needs as well.

But when we have bills, education, rent a state of debt you don't have that luxury. But also it becomes even more essential to spend some time doing some inner work, some self-care which is just another word for hobby.

Something that you enjoy and nourishes you, because when you nourish yourself, you can then nourish others.

Share kindness, love, compassion, patience, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand, or if nothing else a smile. Escape the insanity of trivial small talk.  Rejoice in life for the true joy it brings, and share it with others.

We have a new video on seven techniques to transform your negative emotions!

‌

To hold our tongues when everyone is gossiping, to smile without hostility at people and institutions, to compensate for the shortage of love in the world with more love in small, private matters; to be more faithful in our work, to show greater patience, to forgo the cheap revenge obtainable from mockery and criticism: all these are things we can do.

~ Hermann Hesse
