Dear ,
Do you walk around frantically when you are stressed? Do you walk slowly when feeling relaxed and your mind is at peace? Walking is so important, not only physically but also psychologically. Walk to clear your head. Walk to solve a problem. Walk to blow off steam. Walk to be in nature. Walk to listen, read, and learn. Walk to escape distractions. Walk to improve your health. Walk to think. A simple walking habit can change absolutely everything After a long day filled with work and household tasks, I frequently take walks with the children to the nearby hill. This activity does not feel exhausting; rather, it is invigorating and helps to clear my thoughts. It is the movement, the sweating it out, the trees, plants, and birds, that affects the mind positively. Research says, that when you walk, it impacts the brain's ability to stay focused on what is troubling it and reduce the distressing emotions one may be experiencing. Walking promotes the release of brain chemicals called endorphins that stimulate relaxation and improve our mood. Now add another element to your walking, when we walk with reverence and mindful breathing, it brings your mind and body together. In our daily lives, we often neglect our bodies, we are so absorbed in our screens and work that it takes a toll on our bodies. Walking meditation opens up a window for healing to take place. Notice each breath and the number of steps you take as you breathe in and as you breathe out. Don?t try to control your breathing, let it flow naturally. It might be difficult at first, but once you are in tune with the breath and the steps you take, it will become much easier. Go on for more walks. Walk for no reason. Walk like you kiss the earth, and feel the energy of the Earth nourishing your mind, body, and soul. A Look at the Powerful Practice of Walking Meditation
