Inner work is as important as eating food. Just like without eating, you might not be able to survive for long, same way inner work is the antidote for facing the obstacles of life. The most natural state of human beings is a sense of wholeness…a deep oneness with all of life. It is a state of openness, love, peace, compassion, ease, grace and health. To get a tangible feel of this state - watch children at play - witness their energy, vibrancy, creativity and sheer joy. This is the way life's meant to be for all of us at all times. Yet, why do we observe that most people are far from this state? This is because of the layers of conditioning, guilt, fear, and so on, that overshadow this natural state. If we compare this natural state to the Sun, the clouds are the layers of conditioning that overshadow the natural state from shining through. But when the sky is clear, the sun is shining bright and radiant. When you do regular inner work, do your dishes, get rid of your blockages that obscure your Inner Light.
