What is needed, rather than running away or controlling or suppressing or any other resistance, is understanding fear; that means, watch it, learn about it, come directly into contact with it. We are to learn about fear, not how to escape from it. ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti
Fear is a huge reason that holds us back from following the life we truly want to live. We fear many things without realising how its affecting our lives - fear of failure, pain, love, loneliness, death, change or the unknown. If we don't do something about it, fear becomes a motivating force behind our thoughts and actions. It's our responsibility to face fear, dissolve it and sail through it. The following articles will help you to face fear and put it in its place.

How to go from Wanting to Change your Life to Deciding to Change your Life
We all change, that’s inevitable. And we all want to change for the better, that is, we all want to change in healthy, rather than unhealthy, ways. But sometimes wanting to change isn’t enough. Sometimes it requires a decision. Wanting is easy. Deciding is scary. Wanting is just a thought, a cartoon in the brain.
Deciding is making that thought a possibility, and the cartoon a reality. So quit wanting to change, and just decide to change. The question is: will that decision be courage-based or fear-based, liberating or imprisoning, healthy or unhealthy. Here are four tactics to help push us toward making better decisions, as opposed to simply wanting and making excuses, about how we’re going to change.

Why do We Fear Death?
Life is fleeting. And although we don’t come into this world knowing exactly how long we will have here, we do know that our time, in fact, is limited. Death is absolutely assured. There’s two ways you can take this. The first is, you can see death as an enemy to be feared, and what we fear we empower. The consequence of seeing death in this manner is that you live each day in fear that death will come and life has not happened yet.
There’s all these things that are supposed to have been done, supposed to have been accomplished, and god forbid death comes knocking before we’ve even got a chance to live our life… the life we think we SHOULD have lived.

Why BEing THE CHANGE Is the Most Effective Method
We are now living in a time unlike any other that the human race has previously seen. We can connect with one another and share information in a matter of a second either through television, Internet, cellphone, satellite radio etc… With all of this new “connectivity” we have these days, it’s no wonder that so many noble souls are using this as an opportunity to try and change the world.

Listening to Your Inner Voice: Is Your Head or Your Heart Doing All the Talking?
Probably one of the most cliché phrases we hear in spirituality circles is, “follow your heart.” Everyone is telling everyone to follow their heart, listen to their inner knowing, follow their intuition etc… Unfortunately the heart doesn’t have a loud booming voice that comes from the heavens and tells us exactly what we should or shouldn’t do.
Nor does it hang signs and banners in front of us telling us “go this way” or “don’t go that way.” So how do we know which of our inner voices to listen to? How do we know if we are making decisions from our heart or if we are listening to our head?
