Hi ,

Recently this quote by Albert Camus, "Man is the only creature who refuses to be what he is."

Got me thinking, what really does that mean, my thoughts wandered to the two little pups that adopted me recently. As you may know Cosmos our dog is aging, he's 16 this month and suddenly this dog showed up and just stood beside me inside the house, just besides my computer. We call him Tigger, and the next day someone dumped this little fellow into our property, Tyson.

But let's not talk about that, Tigger is very active and hungry, Tyson is tiny and hungry too, of course both of them are growing. Tigger is sort of a protector, he and Tyson sleep curled up. He knows he's not supposed to enter the house so he put a paw on Tyson when he's trying to climb up the stair into the house to pull him down.

They play together and when it comes time to eat, Tigger doesn't give a damn about Tyson, he'll grab his food, grab whatever he can get until there's nothing left. He can hurt Tyson too and poor Tyson goes away whimpering, but these are dogs, they forget fast, and they still play together. But when it comes to food now, we have to put Tyson in a cage where Tigger can't reach him.

Coming back to the quote, what is man refusing to be? A thinking animal, all our advancement and technological progress, and we still have people who cannot feed themselves on this planet, not because there isn't enough, but we have the Tiggers amongst us. Always ready to grab what's not theirs, to hoard when people are starving.

So many people say what we have is the best system, but until we still have people suffering and starving, let's try to help the Tysons.

With Love,

Bhavika & Clyde
