Hi ,

I recently wrote a piece for members, I wanted to put more into it, but the flow was blocked by not being present in the moment. Here's the thing being in the now is overrated, it's wonderful to be present in the moment yes.

But for me, I like to travel back and forth mentally. There has to be a path, a plan that needs to be chiselled out with thoughts. If I'm on a holiday I'm all about "being in the now," but life isn't a holiday. It's a roller coaster ride, and I'm not just going to hang on to the cart.

I want to be the track designer, I want it to climb up at times and at times it's fine to fall down otherwise there wouldn't be enough momentum. I want to enjoy the ride, but I also want to ensure that I don't throw up on the way.

Life is fun, life is hard, life is awesome and sometimes life simply just sucks. The thing about being present in a moment is awesome if you have all your needs taken care of, if you're sitting on a wad of cash that can support you for the rest of your life. Throw your hands up and bend down breath in, breath out for the rest of your life, and you can do just about what you want with your time.

For people who need to suck up every penny they can, it's still good to do yoga, meditate, but to survive and thrive one needs to plan and make every living moment count. Yet in both scenarios, the importance of Balance comes in, there's a fascinating story for Members ~ Balance, the Alchemy of Life.

So what's on your scale, and how do you balance them? You tell us yours and I'll tell you mine as always :)

Here are some reads that assist balance,
