Hello ,

How are you doing? It has been some time since we sent a newsletter. Well, the mundane gets the better of you, and the day-to-day activities keep going on, and we just end up functioning in auto mode. There was a dire need and an urge to change things.

After a very long time, more than 3 years, we decided to embark on a road trip with 3 children (including our infant) to get a breather from life’s hustle and bustle. We have been blessed and thankful to all of you who have supported us.

We usually find ourselves travelling to the mountainous regions of north India, why? It’s mostly the people who draw us here, there’s something different here as to how the people are made. There are months of snowfall here and multiple hardships where the people do not have much but they have massive hearts.

The little they have they share, they go out of their way to help you, they open up and tell you their stories like they’re your long lost friends, it’s not just nature that’s contrasting here as compared to the cities. Here you have the mountains where the soul finds solace, and spirit is free to dance to the tunes of the chirping birds. The mountain air has been crisp and reenergizing.

But the people here too are tremendously busy with the laborious task of chopping wood to keep warm, to climb hills and walk roads to get to places, to work in fields and farm to put food on the table, and yet they all seem to smile a lot, more heart centric, a perfect example of less is more and contentment.

Sometimes the tough times really bring out the best in us.

Like Anthon St. Maarten said, “If we never experience the chill of a dark winter, it is very unlikely that we will ever cherish the warmth of a bright summer’s day. Nothing stimulates our appetite for the simple joys of life more than the starvation caused by sadness or desperation. In order to complete our amazing life journey successfully, it is vital that we turn each and every dark tear into a pearl of wisdom, and find the blessing in every curse.”
