“Stop measuring days by degree of productivity and start experiencing them by degree of presence."

The above quote simply hit the spot.

From the time we wake up till the end of the day, we have our to-do lists to achieve, meetings to attend, goals to accomplish, etc.

Now take a pause, and read the above words from Watts again, and ask yourself the question - Were you truly ‘present in the moment’? Or, were you focused on completing your tasks with the intention of just getting back to the comfort of your home?

Here’s the thing, our to-do lists are never-ending, there is always going to be work to do, and things to take care of. If we learn to be more present and in the moment then it transforms the energy we bring into each task.

The key is to find the balance between presence and productivity, and that is a game changer. There are a lot of factors involved - your passions, your habits, your financial situation.

Sometimes the struggle to make ends meet can put mindfulness on the back burner. It is a challenge we all have to face, and attempt to align presence and productivity.

What are the ways you bring this balance? Have you managed to achieve a high degree of presence and yet be productive?
