Hi ,
Fasting is a powerful practice that can reset your body and mind. As a child we were more or less forced to fast on certain religious days, and it used to be tough, by the time it was evening, my sister and I would be fantasying about food, and what we would eat the next day.
Now, 25/30 years down the line, I chose to fast without food for around 30 hours, drinking a couple of glasses of warm water, and it was a very different experience.
My perception and experience about it has changed. I see it now as a cleansing experience, not only at a physical level, but on a deeper level.
Stress of daily life can really take a toll on you, and just a day of fast has reset my body clock and taken care of some amount of stress, at least.
It cleansed some of the unwanted energy, which had accumulated in the past few months and it felt good.
A regular detox is needed that can put brakes on your daily routine and give you the space and time to introspect!
