Hi ,

It is a very common tendency to feel bored, tired and frustrated with the daily chores. It is the monotony of the tasks that makes one feel like that. Doing the same thing again and again, which makes us operate in auto mode; we aren’t even conscious about what we are doing.


I see people in Government offices or any job that becomes a daily task - there is a certain kind of boredom associated with that. Even for me at the moment, I spent a lot of time taking care of the house, the kids and their individual needs, cooking meals, organizing the kitchen, buying groceries and so on, that it becomes one big task.

Then I read a comment by one of the subscribers of our Facebook page, “Dishes, laundry, washing the car, pulling weeds…we make it so much harder when we label these things as chores. The gifts we give to ourselves; maintenance, are noble…it promotes high energy.”

I was like, “woah, that’s such an uplifting view.” To change your perspective completely on how you look at things, can change the whole game. It makes you feel light, it makes you feel productive, it puts the horse in front of the cart, and brings up a whole new landscape in front of your eyes.

It is really easy to get caught up in the daily grind of complaining and whining, we know the effect it has on the brain, then why not wear a different lens, change the view and things will begin to change. Enjoy your daily ‘virtues’ not chores.

Reconnect

In our fast-paced existence, we have lost the ability to connect with ourselves, forget connecting with others. We are constantly on the move, moving from one task to the other, one meeting to the next. It is time to push the brakes on the daily movement (either of the mind or physically), and smell the roses.

‘Reconnect’ is the time we take to listen to our inner voice, to reconnect with ourselves and with each other, to reconnect with nature, and to reconnect with our deepest longings.

One of the definitions of Reconnect is to, “re-establish a bond of communication or emotion,” let’s come together to re-establish that bond, to feel the things that move us, and to share the joys and sorrows.
