We have all heard this saying attributed to Buddha, “Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the single candle will not be shortened.” It's not really something that he said, but it's also wishful thinking, a steady candle will definitely burn longer.

But what does this have to do with today's newsletter? I recently met a parent from Kavie's school, and we were casually talking about the political scenarios, issues that our country is going through and what changes we can personally make to have better outcomes.

During this discussion he told me a simple story, you have seen a table lamp that we use to focus light on our work, consider that we're spreading the light and this light is intense when the circle is smaller. But as you expand your circle (raise the lamp higher) you notice the intensity of the light decreases and gets dimmer.

So we're given a choice either we keep the circle small, light up our lives and those around us in our circle or try to expand the circle and lose our intensity and our essence?

We all have limited time and energy, finding balance in our lives is so important. Introspect on your relationships, do some just seem to consume your energy or do they revitalize you as well. Where's the line between giving and getting placed?

I'm beginning to realize if things stress me out it's not worth doing, I'm slowly drawing back my energy from things, people and situations I do not like. We have written this lovely article for members The Middle Path: Life in Balance and How to Balance Yours that can help you find your middle way.

I hope you enjoyed this little insight <3
