Hi ,
Hope all's well at your end :)  If you recollect in a recent newsletter I wrote about our dog meeting with an accident. Our Airbnb guests went for a walk and their 8-year-old called him across the road. I'm not sure how he responded to her, perhaps in his excitement he took off and a car banged him.

Now it's been 21 days since this incident, and it's been 20 days since last contact with the guests. Being in a remote part I had to drive over 50 kms to get X-rays, medicines, vet facilities as soon as I could, and they were aware of it.

Now this is just a situation and I have no ill feelings against them at all, but I would choose to act a little differently if it was me, the minimum I would do is follow up. How is Cosmos doing? Can we help in some way?

But now I would like to turn this situation inward, sometimes we choose a comfortable exit for an action that has caused an unfavourable outcome. An outcome that may put people through more stress, in the corporate world there are people who like to put their load onto subordinates and choose to just butter up their bosses.

Accountability for me stems from a place of owning your actions, is it fear of death that makes us accountable or is it reincarnation. Honestly I don't know what lies afterwards, and I don't care what it is because I want to become a better person not for Jesus or Krishna but for my own personal evolution. The world needs better people, and I hope each one of us finds a way to own our actions.

For those of you concerned, Cosmos has been getting better, and his recovery is slow due to his age, he's 12. But he was strong enough not get fractured or paralysed with a car hitting him at the speed of around 70 kmph. He was super active and agile and that really helped him, now from being able to not even lift his head off the ground he's moving about on 3 legs occasionally. So we hope he makes a full recovery in time!
