Four Steps to Take When your Heart has Gone Numb

The heart, the heart… Such a complicated organ, with many chambers, and many valves. We know that it beats 115,000 times a day, and is the size of a fist.

We know that it will continue pumping, even when disconnected from the body; We also know it has an electrical system, that controls its rhythm… But most of all… We know, that Broken Heart Syndrome, is a thing.

Continued and prolonged stress, caused by the flood of stress hormones to the heart can have disastrous effects on the heart.

We are all familiar with the three of swords in the Tarot deck, often depicted as a heart that has been impaled for so long, that the blood no longer even flows from it.

What do we do, when the heart has become numb?
