5 Ways to Align with Your Inner Power

“Even if you achieve your outer purpose, it will never satisfy you if you haven’t achieved your inner purpose, which is awakening, being present, being in alignment with life. True power not only comes out of the presence, it is the presence.” ~ Eckhart Tolle

Those who find themselves reading these types of articles or drawn to spiritual topics are often those who could call themselves “energetically sensitive,” and/or “empaths.”

While most of the articles you may come across involving these topics centers around the “why” (the energetically sensitive) feel the way they do, there are not as many that address the “how” to live life being spiritually-minded, while also productive, aligned and successful in whatever they do — aligning with their inner power.

Many of those coming in tune with spirituality, energy, extra-sensory abilities often begin to realize that not only does what drive the outer world no longer drive them, but they themselves feel completely different than they did prior to their spiritual awakening.

This feeling of no longer feeling “normal,” and often inundated by the energies of the collective, can have many seekers feeling insecure and completely unaligned with confidence and power.

It is because most spiritually minded people and empaths and are prone to inferior based egos (meaning their ego structure is formed off of feeling unworthy or less than others), that finding their inner power proves to be the most important aspect of their awakening.

This aligning with their inner confidence is what turns an insecure and overly sensitive seeker into a powerful, confident and courageous manifestor.

Below are 5 ways to align with your inner power

1) Adopt the most powerful perspective

A perspective shift is not only the quickest way to change your view of the present moment, it is also the most effective. When you hear teachers say, “you choose happiness,” what it means is that you can adopt any perspective you want in any given moment and your perspective of reality is what sets the tone of how aligned you feel with confidence.

Affirmations such as, “everything is here to help me,” or “I am the light that is healing these emotions I feel the moment in which I allow myself to embrace them wholeheartedly, I heal all emotions for the well-being of all,” are both powerful perspectives that shift your inner state from fear, guilt, or shame into confidence, knowingness, and optimism.

2) Be unapologetic in your evolution

So many people go through the conundrum of knowing what is truly the best decision for themselves, but being so afraid to disappoint others that they fear making said decision, and this is a sure way to stay aligned with fear and insecurity.

Any time we allow ourselves to stay with people against our highest wisdom we basically reaffirm to the universe that other people, and how other people feel about what we do, is more important than how we feel — which is a clear belief in unworthiness.

The truth is what is best for you is what is best for everyone, even if others don’t know that yet. When you choose your own happiness, health and well-being over everything, you set those in your life free from their co-dependency ties to you (I need you to be what I want you to be in order to be happy) by simply choosing you, which aligns you with inner power immediately.

3) Learn the art of responding vs. reacting

A clear indicator of someone who is rooted in their own power is someone who is able to calmly receive life as it comes. Someone who responds to life rather than alarmingly reacting to every little change shows that they are rooted in the knowingness that all is well.

This is why meditation, or some sort of stress relieving activity in which the soul aligns with faith and trust, is an absolute must. To be able to adapt to all the unplanned changes life throws in our direction proves to be a priceless tactic, especially when we realize that life rarely goes exactly as we have planned.

4) Cultivate worthiness

Making choices out of self-love and worthiness is what begins to point us into a life of our wildest dreams. We cannot control all outcomes, but we can control the vibration from which we make choices. By cultivating worthiness, either by saying affirmations, or addressing any limited beliefs that we are still holding on to that have us feeling unworthy or “less than,” we anchor within our being a vibration that calls forth from us higher and more powerful choices.

Point-blank, someone who feels good about themselves, feels worthy of love and confident of what they represent will naturally make choices that align with these beliefs. When we believe in our own power, making powerful choices is easy and effortless.

5) Embrace openness and vulnerability

Anyone who has been on the spiritual path for some time now already knows that true strength stems from vulnerability. And the beautiful thing about being totally unafraid or willing to be open and vulnerable is that energetically, this is the most powerful stance we can ever take.

When one meets a person who is completely rooted in openness, energetically, they know it. This air of authenticity and sincerity that emanates from a person who is rooted in sincere openness translates into confidence and power.
