Understanding the Awakening Empath and Inner Earthling

Navigating Reality

One of the most difficult things for the awakening Empath to understand is Ego and how Ego aspects can be managed and understood on our journey. Ego has driven our realities for most of our lifetime(s) in one way or another. Whether you are trying to lose it, ignore it, or kill it, there is an ongoing battle between what Spirit guides us to be and what Ego demands that we protect and defend.

When we can look at this reality with eyes open, many of the dichotomies dissolve. It is really a beautiful process when we realize that we see reality in different shades than most of humanity.

Rituals

Our lives here are all about rituals. We establish patterns and ways of navigating reality. Habits and routines are vital to the “human’s” wellbeing and so are rituals in this 3D reality. We maintain our homes and our bodies, laundry, cooking etc.

There are behaviors (unconscious), that we have always done, without question like brushing your teeth and there are rituals that we perform for higher experiences such as meditation and ceremony.

It is ALL ceremony from a spiritual perspective whether it is taking the trash out or participating in a sacred ceremony. It is maintenance of our experience and reality. Reality is. We are the storytellers. We choose how to respond to reality and what we wish to make of it, whether we are doing it in an aware or unconscious way.

Individual Realities

individual realities

We now know, and science is beginning to grasp consciousness and how consciousness is used in our 3D reality; that how we choose to view and engage in these activities defines our experience, changes how our DNA expresses, and opens new avenues of perception and experience.

How we approach these tasks is sacred and a soul expression at all levels.  It is impossible to fathom another’s approach to reality. If I said to you, “Scotch tastes like tartan plaid to me.” Or, cilantro tastes like Dawn dishwashing soap to me.”  How would you respond? Could there be valid reasons? I’ll come back to this…

Ego as a Tool

“The Ego is an exquisite instrument. Enjoy it, use it–just don’t get lost in it.” ~ Ram Dass

Ego is a tool for 3D expression here. It is a mechanism in place to navigate reality from a unique and individual perspective. And that is all it is. Ego does not create our reality. It does not create the series of circumstances we are met with.

It simply reflects to us the “slant” on reality we have learned to embrace.  Knowing this means we can change everything, with our focus, intention and thought. And reality, as a stream, has an unlimited and untapped potential beyond any concept held in 3D reality.

Ego, the earthling, is not reality and how ego defines reality is not reality.  How we each choose to heal, educate and expand our earthling is how we choose to experience reality. Reality IS and Spirit navigates at one level; Ego at another. We are all storytellers here. What amazingly fascinating stories can you write about your unique perceptual field and expression here.

The Stream of Reality

Reality is a stream. It is in constant flow, but content or context are what we decide to focus on. There are overriding patterns established by the collective. But, there is also many new energies and perspectives being awakened at all times.

Imagine this stream as a large, multi-lane highway that circles the globe, (or runs from edge-to-edge, for my Flat-Earthers). You are in one vehicle leaving the east coast. The highway is packed from end to end, cars, trucks, horse-drawn carts, motorcycles, bicycles, skateboarders, the works.

Each vehicle has its own position and perspective of the whole and each one is different. A motorcycle driver is going to see the traffic (reality) differently then the woman driving a semi truck even if they are side-by-side. And a driver approaching the west coast is having a total different experience in the same “stream” of traffic.

The Inner Earthling

The ego aspects of personality develop at a very young age. Many begin the cognitive process around ten or eleven. Our Ego concepts of what reality is, are formed long before the brain, personality or psyche (the earthling) is matured.

Many of the behaviors are deeply unconscious and automatic. These are patterns from family constructs, often dysfunctional. Whatever current cultural and societal paradigms are reflecting also limit our perspective during this time in development.

Based on the current state of the collective, the earthling learns to defend and protect us, develops a strong sense of right and wrong (judgement), and strategies for meeting perceived needs; food, love, validation, attention, stimulation etc. These patterns revolve around fear and a sense of lack.

Imagine yourself as a sentient being with an inner “Earthling” who is fighting to save you or protect you in every moment and instance. This is Ego. This is an inner child. This is the wounded, broken, disappointed in humanity, sad, yearning earthling we all carry within us.

ems art earthling

This is the same energy that sees reality as a child and rages at the horrors produced in the current collective. The same energy that came in innocent and veiled, with you and Ego’s response to all this mayhem is to protect you at all costs, physically and emotionally in a 3D reality.

When untrained and unaware, it senses without the higher processes of maturity. It operates from childhood perceptions of lack and needs fulfillment. This young earthling needs to be grown; heard, healed and reintegrated with higher vision and understanding. This requires dialogue and attention. Yes, talking to yourself.

Killing or ignoring a ten-year old earthling is not my idea of healing the gap between my wounded aspects and my Spiritual essence. Instead to understand reality and its natural flow and how the Ego filters or colors our unique perspectives of this flow, is the key to integrating the Ego into a higher understanding and expression in this reality.

The Empath experiences reality in different ways than many, and we are wired to receive on energetic levels. Ego, when unaddressed and unhealed changes how we perceive this reality and changes our ability to embrace the gifts we have earned through lifetimes of doing this work.

Astral Scribing

Many Empaths naturally Astral Scribe. We hear things on many levels simultaneously. This is where a lot of the confusion comes in. As the third eye opens and we are not attuned of this ability, we find situations very confusing.

We can hear the words being spoken. Then, there is a second level of hearing. We can “read between the lines,” and often this is not what is really being said, at all.

Next is a level of non-verbal perception, this isn’t easily expressed in words.  This is a constant stream for the Empath. With all this division and so many blindly lost, the asleep say one thing and then act in totally contradictory ways. This is reality.

This is eight billion individual lenses watching the same show and seeing it from different and unique wounds, societal restraints, cultural conditioning, global positions and personal hardships. When this awareness comes, and we begin to see the imbalance, we, as Empaths, tend to isolate and struggle with tolerance for those expressing in such unproductive ways.

Ego and Spirit

With this awareness of patterns, we begin to see our own wounds and limitations in others. This can be very disconcerting. The earthling still wants to run the show. Yet, the soul is now seeing a different reality. This is the gap. This is the space where Spirit and ego can align in focus, love and intent.

The ego must now learn the new model of perspective. It has been referred to as upgrading our guidance from street maps to the GPS. The function of Ego in the evolving process is to contrast Spirit. It is the physical or shadow of Spirit or source.

When I say shadow, I do not refer to darkness. The earthling is the 3D tool of the higher dimensions and possibilities. It is just uneducated at present.  I refer to this shadow, instead, as the unhealed Ego expression of the 3D, fear driven model and Spirit or Source aligned with Ego, as the enlightened 4D-5D model of expression.

Shadow and Light

All things cast a shadow when light is present. A shadow cannot be cast when no light is present. Building on this visual; the farther one is “slanted,”  displaced from the light or living in an unaligned Ego state, the larger the shadow.

The brighter the light the deeper the shadow appears. Empaths carry a lot of light naturally in their auras and fields. When light is close and bright, the largest and darkest shadows are cast. When an Empath stands directly aligned with Source, and ego is aligned, the shadow is directly below, and not visible at all.

It does not mean the shadow ceases to exist. Instead, our earthling is sacredly aligned with Source, and the primary expression becomes one of light. As Empaths, we bring the shadow to the moment just by carrying our light with us everywhere we go.

Often we find that others have strong re-actions to us, and situations can spiral into absurd. We are often there, as a catalyst, whether we are aware of our role or not.

Empaths bring out the best and the worst in others and ourselves. Here is where our earthling can reflect our own wounds and paradigms to us through others. When I attract a particular circumstance that resonates with me in an uncomfortable or unpleasant way.

I now have to acknowledge that it could not resonate unless I am carrying baggage or a wound around that energetic.  If I do not possess the aspect or behavior on some level, I will be unable to see it. If I say to you, “You are chartreuse.”  And, you know you are not. This remark will have no impact on you.

For many Empaths in the process of understanding and aligning ego, self-reflection is difficult. But, remember, we only resonate with what we believe in, on some level. If I say to you “Scotch tastes like tartan plaid.”  Or, I say, “Cilantro tastes like dawn dish soap.” Would you agree with me and tell me it’s not true? That I am out of touch with reality? More on this later…

Owning Our Earthling

When the Ego wishes to deny a flaw or a fault within us, it rebels, defends and distracts. “I’m not like that.” The aspects of ego we deny are the aspects that we cannot align and heal. The unhealed Earthling needs to be right.

The unhealed Ego needs another to feel whole. The unhealed Earthling is afraid of being alone. The unhealed Ego seeks attention and validation. The unhealed Earthling has no desire to see past its wounds, only to express in them and be defined by them.

This just perpetuates the struggle and suffering paradigms. These are many of the dynamics we see in our collective and circles of friends and family. When our awakening brings us these new insights, it is difficult to deal with the negativity we are attracting and experiencing within ourselves.

When the Ego is addressed and acknowledged, we are called to develop a dialogue with our internal processes and all the misinformation we have been fed from infancy.
We find that nothing we thought we knew or believed makes sense any longer. Time to honestly and humbly see our wounds and the patterns we have adopted to survive in this harsh reality.

When we can embrace the clarity we are receiving and see the Ego as the little earthling aspect, we can then teach, mature and heal ourselves and the collective. Then we stand centered in our light having removed our own resistance to what reality is. We can better understand our abilities, and how to best serve humankind during these dynamic times.

Allowing vs Surrender

So Empaths strive and reach for clarity and enlightenment. We often hear the word “surrender.” I do not see the process of evolving and growing in clarity as surrender. Reaching and striving has its benefits and serves our process of self discovery and broader awareness, and it helps us to integrate our intentions with action in a 3D manifestation.

allowing

But, ultimately this process is about “allowing”. We are not striving to be something we are not. We are learning to allow ourselves to be our best versions in every moment – by allowing ourselves to be broken and unhealed and by accepting that this is a product of expression in this matrix.

When we allow reality to be what it is, we gain perspective. We no longer attach ourselves to outcomes such as validation or needing to be right, or needing a partner to be complete. We know that one’s perspective of right and wrong, good and bad, is from a totally different frame of reference then our own.

Everything that the Ego “needed” to take personally or internalize is a fleeting perspective with eight billion interpretations. Everything is in constant motion. Everything is energy. The only constant in the multiverse is change and all soul is in constant flux.

The Ego believes things should be a certain way, and if it is not, it is personal. There are eight million personal opinions and perceptual fields out there. All valid in their framework of reference. Nothing is personal but our internal connection to Source.

Cilantro

Cilantro does indeed taste like blue dawn dish soap to me. Believe it or not, there is a genetic basis for this. I carry the gene sequence for this particular trait. And as for Scotch and plaid. Is it a genetic sequence? Some single malt scotch tastes like I imagine tartan plaid would taste.  Do I have a past life as a Scottish moth?  Maybe.  But, my point, we are all different perceptual, emotional and genetically and have a wide range of expression.

Our abilities and gifts will manifest differently and at different stages and times for each. To assume one slant on reality is All that is or the only correct one, is a bit presumptuous.

To assume that your gift is less or more than another’ is pointless. To understand the nature of reality is to better navigate the lessons provided. Perception is EVERYTHING. Change your perception and relationship to your inner earthling and change your perception and relationship to everything.

5 Signs Your Spiritual Journey is Progressing

“A new spiritual awakening is occurring in human culture, an awakening brought by a critical mass of individuals who experience their lives as a spiritual unfolding, a journey in which we are led forward by mysterious coincidence.” ~ The Celestine Prophecy

With almost any career path or activity that you must learn from school or a teacher, it can be quite apparent to gauge where you are in your progress. We live in a society that breaks things down into levels, (for example, grade levels in school) and certifications (bachelors degree, doctorate, license) that is our “proof” that we have mastered a particular level.

However, a spiritual journey can be a little trickier to determine where a person is in their process. As with many things on the spiritual path, what is “right” and “relevant” in worldly matters, will take on an ironic twist when dealing with spiritual themes.

For instance, it is quite common on a career path to want to strive for higher and higher positions, and for one to “want” to test their knowledge in comparison to their peers, but on a spiritual journey it can be quite the opposite.

It would be safe to say that the more a person “needs” to know how much farther along they are than others or the more they need a certificate of completion to boost their self esteem or to prove their mastery in some area on their spiritual path, the less far along they most likely are.

Because there is no one definitive path to self-awareness, or to experiencing enlightenment, and awakening – it makes it even harder to truly say where someone is on their path, especially in relation to others, we are all in essence traveling our own path.

The landmarks on our path may be in a drastically different order than the next person. Nonetheless there are certain “states of being” that signify an expansion is taking place in our awareness.

The word “expansion” really explains it perfectly when referring to how our journey progresses over time. While there are a variety of paths people are on, the one standard that everyone can agree with is that the more evolved they became in their awakening, the more expanded their consciousness and perspective became.

So what are some of the signs that our awakening into who we truly are is happening at an evolving and progressive rate?

5 signs your spiritual journey is progressing

“No matter what your spiritual condition is, no matter where you find yourself in the universe your choice is always the same; to expand your awareness or contract it.” ~ Thaddeus Golas

signs your spiritual journey is progressing

1) Judgment and condemnation become allowance and compassion

One of the most noticeable changes one might realize in themselves or someone who is on a spiritual path is that they are no longer operating within the parameters of societal norms.

With this step, also comes a transition from judging people based on things that society tells us are “important” and condemning them as “less intelligent,” or “evil,” to suddenly allowing people to be as they are.

Once we realize that before we knew what we knew there was no way we could’ve known anything different, we start realizing this is true for others as well.

Just like you can’t teach a 1st grader complicated geometry and tell them they are stupid for not understanding, you also can’t force someone to see past their level of understanding of the world and so instead of condemning them, you simply allow them to be. You completely forgive any perceived “ignorance,” as just, “where they are in their path,” nothing more and nothing less.

2) Motivation becomes inspiration

IMG 3591

Here is another example of how the “rules” of society take on an ironic almost opposite twist in terms of a spiritual process. We are inundated with phrases such as, “work hard, more effort, try harder, push through, reward comes at the end of a huge struggle”. Whereas the spiritual path, is less about motivation and more about inspiration.

When we come to realize that achievement in the eyes of society is a construct the spiritual path doesn’t necessarily agree on, we also come to see that tuning in to the benevolence of the universe has nothing to do with struggle, strife or stress.

It is not that action doesn’t “need” to be taken, it is more like if we keep trying to force things to happen from the perspective of our ego, we become extremely exasperated by trying to go against the natural flow of life. Inspired action is more about following our highest joy and excitement, cultivating passions, and daring to follow our own unique path.

3) A new understanding of pain and painful circumstances is adopted

As we live unconsciously as complete slaves to the programming instilled within us from society and our upbringing, we naturally attune to the identity of the “victim.” What this means is that we see each situation from a perspective of “this is what I want to happen (what my ego wants) so this is good,” or “this is what I didn’t want to happen (what my ego didn’t want) so this is bad.”

In this black and white view of reality we see ourselves as a separate participant in life, and completely at the mercy of reality, hoping and praying for the best, and feeling punished or angry when what we perceive as “the worst” occurs.

As we awaken and expand our understanding of reality past our programming, we come to realize the auspicious nature of pain and painful circumstances. We realize that pain is a catalyst for transformation, and see ourselves from a perspective of a healer meant to heal the emotions or fears that have arisen because of any painful circumstance. These types of situations are used to learn, to heal, to grow and mature rather than to begrudge and blame life, others, or ourselves.

4) We have less of a desire to “manifest” strictly from the ego

There is nothing wrong with wanting or desiring anything we desire, but as we begin to awaken further we may find ourselves no longer caring about “getting” the things we thought we wanted out of life when we were living strictly from the ego perspective.

On an energetic level, as we heal and awaken into the higher chakras, we find that the “desires” which tend to be based on material possessions, sexual wants or relationship wants, and a desire for power, become less and less important to us.

We also find that what we were truly seeking the whole time was the feeling of fulfillment, confidence or safety that we “thought” those things would give us, but in all actuality are available to us regardless of getting that particular manifestation.

5) Our life seems to be falling apart

On the surface this sounds terrible. However, when we come to know that new timelines and states of being can only come as a result of getting rid of the “past”, we see that this is another auspicious happening sent by the universe.

As we shift, reality must shift as a result. We are not only healing and transcending old belief systems which sends the signal that we no longer need the representation or catalysts of these belief systems to show up in our timeline, but we are moving into alignment with our true nature as well.

As we align with our most authentic self, we find that old ways of thinking, old friendships and relationships and old careers no longer resonate with us and therefore organically fall away to make way for a new landscape to emerge.

4 Old School Parenting Tactics Conscious Parents are Breaking The Mold on

“A conscious parent is not one who seeks to fix her child, or seek to produce or create the ‘perfect’ child. This is not about perfection. The conscious parent understands that it is a journey that has been undertaken, this child has been called forth to ‘raise the parent’ itself. To show the parent where the parent has yet to grow. This is why we call our children into our lives.” ~ Dr. Shefali Tsabary

Parenting has always been a topic that calls forth much discussion and debating. Over the years there have been countless methods promoted from anywhere to doctors, child psychologists and relationship therapists.

8366c496da1158bdf6cc99d3f0bbde2a

It goes hand in hand that an evolution in our consciousness would create a new perspective on how to be a parent.. hence the concept behind “conscious parenting.” Since I first learned about this concept years ago, and read the book, “The Conscious Parent,” by Shefali Tsabary, I have come to realize that conscious parenting isn’t really a “tactic,” but more of a natural by-product of becoming more self-aware and waking up in consciousness myself.

I have seen much resistance to the idea of conscious parenting from those still invested in parenting the same way they were parented, or from a more stern/militant place as “one of those hokey things where people just don’t ever tell their kids anything negative or let their kids walk all over them and then turn them into brats.”

Becoming the Laughing Buddha: How to Invite Humor to your Spiritual Journey

0

Legend has it, that if you come across a laughing Buddha statue, you should rub his tummy. Apparently, your wishes will be granted. Perhaps, you might even laugh while rubbing it. As the age-old saying goes, laughter is the best medicine. It’s also one of the strategies to keep you sane as you ascend to higher levels of consciousness.

Finding out the truth of who you are, isn’t a smooth ride into the sunset of Neverland. As you ascend, the mind comes to play tricks, taunt you and find subtle ways to torment you, if you let it.

Parts of my spiritual journey can best be summed up by this quote from the movie Shawshank Redemption, “Andy crawled to freedom through five-hundred yards of shit smelling foulness I can’t even imagine, or maybe I don’t want too.” When you’re crawling through shit, sometimes all you have is humor and faith.

Here are ways to invite humor to your spiritual journey.

Perspective

My friend Hannah has a HUGE tapestry hanging up in her apartment with the mantra, “SHIT HAPPENS”. It was quickly adopted as our work slogan. It really puts the challenges and setbacks into perspective. It’s our wake-up call, our reality check.

If you feel lonely, depressed, frustrated or similar emotions right now perhaps you need to find a fresh perspective. Most likely, you’re forgetting that the spiritual process is likened to a blossoming flower. You will grow naturally, and there’s no need to toil during the seeming challenges. They too are part of the flowering of awareness.

We get humorless when we unconsciously believe that we will pop out of the spiritual enlightenment toaster, all crisp and ready-made. The joy is the journey. As I’m writing this, I just received a video of my nephew crawling for the first time after months of being stuck in the all fours position.

Sometimes, we adults get that way too. Not realizing that the feeling of being stuck is also part of the adventure!

Merge Silliness into your Routine

One day, when I was traversing through my neighborhood, I came across a newsstand. I was drawn to a colorful magazine called MAD. I stood there reading and laughing for a half hour. The off color, tasteful booger jokes made me giddy. That experience re-opened my eyes to the relief that humor provides.

From that day on, I committed to merging silliness into my routine. Every morning, I spend ten minutes reading MAD, watching comedy skits on Netflix, or finding jokes online. Somedays, I’m lucky and will get to spend time with funny people. However, I don’t rely on this. I make sure to take my daily laughing medicine.

Try a New Practice or Experience

Often, we can get humorless when we feel stuck in the all fours phase, when we really, really want to be crawling. Sometimes, what’s needed is to lighten up is to find a new practice. It breaks up the stuck, humorless energy and allows the doors of your soul to swing open and let some light in.

I recently tried an improv class. It took me out of my head and into play. There are plenty of funny practices to try that will also help you deepen into awareness and encourage you stay rooted in the present moment.

Here are a few examples:

Kundalini yoga (trust me, some poses will make you laugh), balloon animal making, look up how to Salsa dance on YouTube, comedy shows, play a trick (gag) on someone, shoot bow and arrows, feed ducks, stroll around a toy store, or play Cards Against Humanity… the options are endless.

Fairies

invite humor to your spiritual journey

This might be a little out there for some, however, I feel fairies need a mention. You know fairies, like Tinkerbell in the movie Peter Pan. Similar to how she’s portrayed, fairies can also be fun, light, airy, and want to play! I personally connect with fairy spirits in nature.

When I hike, I take moments to pause and sense the playful energy in the trees. I tell the fairies my human mind-made struggles aloud and instantly feel the release of tension. During the day, I’ll connect to my guides (some of whom are fairies) and I’ll get really amusing (like laugh out loud amusing) blocks of thoughts.

The ones I connect with are a sarcastic bunch. You too have the power to connect to the energy of fairies. Give it a try!

Choose Courage over Comfort

Being a laughing Buddha takes a lot of courage! You can’t be fooled by tricks of the mind telling you that you aren’t enough, need xyz, can’t be happy until you come to full God Conscious realization: yeah, the minds a pretty shitty friend sometimes.

That’s why courage is necessary. You have to tell your mind to take a hike. Instead, listen to your heart and try the activity you have been wanting to do. Follow your intuitive hunches. Tell your loved one your true feelings. Stick up for your truth. Don’t be afraid to be the fullest expressed version of yourself. Or, commit to a meditation routine.

All the above scenarios, sound easy when reading, yet we all know that when life is dishing out these tangible experiences we can shrink and hide. Instead of being in our heart, we listen to our mind and make excuses.

This leads to a pretty humorless existence because we start to unconsciously identify with the belief, ‘I like being comfortable’. When in reality, being comfortable sucks monkey poop. There’s a time and place to Netflix and Chill, and there’s a time to throw comfort in the chuck-it bucket!

The spice, freshness, humor, and play are often in the newness and beyond our comfort zone. So, pump up your courage!

Play with your Inner Child

I can’t even find the right words to explain how much I love playing with my inner child. It’s akin to gazing into a lover’s eyes the first time, watching leaves sway to the ground, being alone on a snowy mountain, the first sounds of birds chirping after a long winter: you get the picture.

We all have an inner child, who wants some tender loving care. We get busy adulting, and forget that play is the spice of life. Not just any play either, we need that tender play where we are really honoring our child’s heart.

For example, I’ll do puzzles, watch re-runs of Mr. Rogers, have a snowball fight, and finger paint. These experiences, allow me to feel the emotions of childhood. What triggers these emotions for you? What activities can you do with your inner child?

Permission to Play

All of the suggestions above are useless, unless you give yourself permission to play. We walk around with a stick up our a$$, holding tight to the idea that play is something we have to earn.

Throwing excuses out like, “I’ll have fun when I’m making more money, have a nicer house, or live somewhere new” “Who has time for it?”, “Why bother?”. Or we settle for a dull version of play like drinking, binge watching, or over eating which are actually numbing habits.

Play on the other hand has a quality of aliveness, joy, freshness, laughter, humor, and flowing feelings. Fully present to moment. Only you can allow yourself your play.

I’ll leave you with a quote from Mark Twain, “Humor is mankind’s greatest blessing.”

Those words ring deep and true in my soul. Don’t waste this blessing. Be the laughing Buddha. You are the laughing Buddha.

Has Your Awakening Awakened these Spiritual Powers?

1

“There has been a revolution in how we perceive the body what appears to be an object, a three-dimensional anatomical structure is actually a process, a constant flow of energy and information.” ~ Deepak Chopra

The recent shift in consciousness has gone hand in hand with a revolution in the relationship to our own body’s energy field, how we process information about ourselves and others, and for many, a rise in “extra-sensory” abilities that were not there previously.

Of course, in matters such as these, there will always be naysayers who say what has not scientifically been proven is not possible; however, nonetheless, those who are experiencing some of these multi-dimensional gifts say differently.

Within the population of those who have experienced an awakening of these “spiritual/psychic gifts,” there is an even broader range of the type of gift & the frequency/intensity of the gift.

Some are tuned in constantly to their new ability and have even been able to use it to make a living out of helping others with it, while some experience flashes of it that arise with no rhyme or reason and just as suddenly as they appear, they disappear.

Nonetheless, certain types of gifts are being experienced in some form by a large group of people, and especially after one begins to experience a spiritual awakening.

Have these extra-sensory gifts or spiritual powers begun to awaken within you?

“By utilizing perspective sourced from my multi-dimensional expression, I receive consistently potent guidance on how to access my most expanded version of reality possible. Accessing multi-dimensional awareness is like having your intuition dialed up to the highest degree possible… everyday!” ~ Sarah Veda, Multidimensional Mastery

Healing the Body

“Healing is the result of not just clinical processes but also of overall biological potentialities that often do not materialize without the unseen power of spiritual alignment.” ~ David R. Hawkins M.D. Ph.D

spiritual powers

There have been countless discoveries and books written about the relationship between our internal world and the rise or fall of disease in the body. It is no surprise that many people are starting to come around to the idea that stress and the cause of stress has been a major player in the manifestation of illness in the body.

However, what we are now seeing arising more rapidly than ever before is what we could term “the energy healer.” These are people who are able to facilitate some sort of healing (whether it be to their patient’s physical body, mental body, emotional body or spiritual body) by tuning in to the energetics of another person’s body.

It could be argued that this type of healing is ancient and has been around for centuries, what we can’t argue with is that never before in the history of humanity has it become more and more “normal” to be an energy healer or to go see one.

It could take me all day to type out all the different types of healers that are now popping up, but things like “reiki,” or “hand-healing” (use the hands to tap into energy vortexes in the body or to identify illness), sound healers, and even DNA activators are among some of the energy healers that we are beginning to see a rise of.

Is it a coincidence that a rise in those experiencing a “spiritual awakening” is also showing us a rise in the number of energy healers popping up around the world? I think not.

Clairvoyance

This gift can cover a wide range of things, but the general idea is that it is the ability to perceive people, places, or things that are outside of what is presently available to the five senses, or to perceive points in time (future, past, or current) not ordinarily able to be accessed by perception.

With the rise in intuition that undoubtedly has become a way of life for some who are awakening it is no surprise that some are beginning to be able to “tap into” the intuitive guidance not just for their own lives, but for others as well.

Clairaudience/Clairsentience/Claircognizance

These often go hand in hand with clairvoyance (which generally “sees” their intuitive guidance), but rather use different senses to interpret the information they receive. Those experiencing clairaudience will “hear” messages or some have even reported hearing “music” that comes from nowhere or even tapping into the harmonic sounds of the physical body.

Clairsentience refers to the ability to “feel” messages either from their environment or from those around them, as a visceral sensation in their body or their emotional state, and claircognizance refers to the ability to “just know” things suddenly.

Almost as if the answer to a question dawns on you suddenly, those with this ability are suddenly given insight into something and mentally are able to access that information.

Channeling

“Your light is far larger than you think. For even to bring you to a place of curiosity is evidence that something within you is seeking the evolution of consciousness that is taking place in this shift.” ~ Kryon, channeled by Lee Caroll

While many spiritual people could argue that we are all channeling in some form while we do anything creative or that puts us in a “zone” of “doing without thinking about what we are doing”, the type of channeling I am going to touch on is channeling higher dimensional aspects of our own self or entities from other realms of existence.

All it takes is one sweep through youtube to find that this “spiritual ability” may be much larger than you think. There are people channeling messages from angels, ascended masters all the way to “extra-terrestrial collectives,” or even (as in the case of Bashar) themselves in a future incarnation living in higher dimensional society.

Some who have had the blessing of the ability to awaken within them are in full cognizance that they are speaking to “other worldly” entities, while some who automatic write, or paint or make music may just be channeling their own “higher self” without really knowing “who/where/what” it is that is coming through them.

Tapping into Your Own Spiritual Powers

Among those who have been able to tune in to their own spiritual abilities, the idea that we ALL have the ability to experience extra-sensory abilities is the overall consensus.

The important thing is to focus on which one comes most naturally to you, as most will find that while they have experienced one or two from time to time, others may seem completely “impossible” from their point of perception.

Once you have identified the way in which spirit speaks to or through you, just like building a muscle takes practice and time, so will honing your gifts. It is important to remember that gifts, while similar to others in type, will manifest in different ways in each individual- so tuning in to how your particular gift speaks to you will be imperative.

Also, as with most things involving the metaphysical and spiritual realms… the less mind that is involved, the better. While the mind will try to “understand” what is happening and why, the truth is it doesn’t need to understand in order for these gifts to flourish, and in fact, the less it does understand the better it is for strengthening the gift.
