Ley Lines and Earth’s Chakras

We know about the main vortexes of energy in the human body – chakras, but I accepted quite naturally that Gaia, mother earth too has Chakras. How we have energy flowing through our body, the earth too has an energy flow that seems to be quite a topic of interest.

While doing the post on Sacred Geometry, I came across something interesting, Ley lines, and the following night I ended up hearing a music track called ley lines, it was total synchronicity. On digging deep into this matter, I pulled up some interesting stuff for you to take a look at.

What are Ley Lines?

earth's ley linesAlfred Watkins spoke about Ley Lines in his book The Old Straight Track, he realized that old monuments, burial grounds, religious structures, monoliths all ended up on a straight line. But this phenomenon was noticed in all cultures, during different time frames and manifested themselves in different ways.

But apart from being a straight line that one can draw from the time of discovery in 1920, ley lines have something perhaps mystical about them. Ley lines have been associated with energy fields, UFOs, spirits, shamanic landscapes and more!

Paul Devereux, the Author of Shamanism and the Mystery Lines: Ley Lines, Spirit Path has some interesting information on his site with regards to Ley lines and how they are intertwined with ancient Indian Spirit Lines and Shamanic Landscapes.

According to the author, “Hopewell Indians built geometrical earthworks covering many acres, along with straight linear features which seem to have been ceremonial roadways. In 1995, archaeologists announced the discovery of a 60-mile-long, dead straight Hopewell ritual road connecting earthworks at Newark with the Hopewell necropolis at Chillicothe.”

What makes it even more interesting is grounds bearing Geoglyphs like the Nazca lines occurred where Shamanic tribes were present, mostly Shamanism based on hallucinogenic plants.

An anthropologist Marlene Dobkin de Rios was the first one to notice this coincidence, noting that all these native hallucinogens promote the sensation of spirit flight, the “out-of-body experience” Dobkin de Rios felt that the mystery lines were associated with this aerial journey, the ecstatic centerpiece of the shamanic experience.

nazca geoglyphs

The spirit lines of the Indians, which they used to transport the dead to the crematorium, and the shamanic landscapes all tend to use straight lines, it goes deeper than that, Ley lines have been used over forests, difficult landscapes where curved lines would have been easier to use. Another interesting thing is how some of the ley lines coincide with the earth grid, earlier I mentioned about the Earth’s chakras.

How the human body has seven major chakras, similarly, the earth has energy lines which some call ley lines and at certain points at equidistant around the earth they form energy vortexes.

I found a session with Hugh Newman, author of Earth Grids, the secret patterns of Gaia’s sacred sites, where he talks about the positioning of the energy vortexes and how this pattern is not just found on earth, but the sun too exhibits a similar pattern with major solar activity showing up in the same positions. The video takes you through some interesting aspects of the earth and you will come across a connection with sacred geometry.

Here’s something I came across while reading about leys in this thread on the Pyramids of Giza and Stone Hedge’s global ley. When straight lines are drawn through the center of these structures, as well as any two other important structures you find either megaliths or other architecture of significance at the intersection of these ley lines.

Feel like doing some ley connections on Google Earth, go ahead and let us know if you come across anything.

Unveiling the Mystics of Sacred Geometry

Sacred Geometry, how can I find the words to describe it?

The need for us to speak about Sacred Geometry was dire but as usual the need to be thorough delayed it. So a week after googling “Sacred Geometry” and trolling through a lot of esoteric links, my mind is exploding with information.

There is so much more to put in, but let me try compiling what I have watched and learnt and hopefully we shall put forth a decent overview on this subject.

Let me start with the basic, what is sacred geometry?

Certain ratios and shapes find themselves repeating throughout the universe, these geometric shapes and figures seem to radiate positivity.

Pythagoras described geometry as visual music. Music is created by applying laws of frequency and sound in certain ways. States of harmonic resonance are produced when frequencies are combined in ways that are in unison with universal law.

These same laws can be applied to produce visual harmony. Instead of frequency and sound it is angle and shape that are combined to produce visual symphonies that show the harmonic unification of diversity.

Sacred geometric ratios applied to music gives it healing powers to harmonize a body that is out of balance. This was believed by the Pythagoreans and now this belief has been revived yet again.

Nature itself has so much Sacred Geometry to display and in the video itself you would have heard, if you are open to it, its everywhere!

From the center of a Sunflower to the internal structure of a Chambered Nautilus displaying the logarithmic spiral of the Golden Ratio.

The Chambered Nautilus cutaway shows the logarithmic spiral that is seen throughout the universe

The same spiral is found across the universe, with spiraling galaxies using the same ratios.

The Golden Ratio can be seen from a Chambered Nautilus to a Spiraling Galaxy

What is the Golden Ratio, in short the Golden Ratio is 1.61803399, this numerical value finds itself in many places in nature and the universe, if you have seen Leonardo’s Vitruvian Man its the dissection of the human body using the Golden Ratio.

While we are at the Vitruvian man, lets take a look at a video by Karen Carty, a fine artist, where she presents her paintings at The Gallery Talmart, in the Center of the old Paris. Apart from Leonardo’s work she talks about the mystics associated with Sacred Geometry and how its been an integral part of man since the beginning.

Sacred Geometry is widely used in the creation of the Tibetan Buddhist Mandalas, an art that has been carried on for centuries, symbolising the universe and believed to create a positive environment.

Tibetan Buddhism has been using Sacred Geometry since ancient times to spread positivity

But that’s not where it ends, religious structures capitalize on this phenomenon, Sacred Geometry is used in the planning and construction of churches, temples, mosques and more.

Take a look at the labyrinth in Grace Cathedral, San Francisco.

Walking the Labyrinth brings about inner peace and assists in meditation, some even consider it as a way to awaken oneself to the knowledge encoded in their DNA. Not to forget Fractals, which forms a part of Sacred Geometry, you should take a look at the fractals we have found in nature.

Sacred Geometry is visible even in Crop Circles created around the world. Take a look at the video below to see these divine formations. People visit these crop circles to absorb the positive energy they emit.

Its fascinating to see that there’s so much to learn about sacred geometry. I hope this post sheds some light on the topic, but there’s lot more to take a look at. We do hope you divulge yourself in these topics and feel free to share your views on this.

The Intriguing Apatani Culture

An Aptani woman whose nose is adorned with Yaping hullo (nose plugs).

A long time ago we had written about Kayans, the women from Burma who wear thick rings on their necks from a very young age. Those neck pieces were enchanting and repressing, today we shall take a look at the Apatanis, also known as the Taniis, the tribe from Arunachal Pradesh in India, whose women adorn their noses with huge nose plugs.

Its a strange custom, like the Kayans, but every custom has a reason though different from common beliefs and as the years go by most ancient customs become extinct. But there is lots to learn from every culture, lets take a look at what the Apatanis have to offer.

Apatani Traditions:

Although todays generation of Apatani women choose not to wear the yaping hullo (nose plugs) it has been an integral part of their roots.

Started decades ago, this tradition is believed to make the Apatani women look unattractive to males from other tribes. Apart from the nose plugs, the Apatani people practiced facial tattooing, where the females had one tattoo running from the forehead to the tip of their nose and another one on their chins.

Amazing Fractals found in Nature

6

Fractals have always captivated me, the intricacy of the patterns which can be infinitely complex in nature and simple at the same time.

Its like a fragment of an object that is self-similar to the whole, and when you realize that such fractal patterns or better known as, building blocks of God, are all around us, it will leave you amazed – clouds, trees, plants, mountain ranges, various vegetables or shorelines, snow flakes, lightning bolts etc.

Of course there are several fractal generating softwares that can help you create fractals and play around with them, but nothing like spotting patterns in nature.

Let’s take a look at some amazing fractals found in nature. These are a collection of photos taken by us during our trips, that knowingly or unknowingly, represent Fractals.

Flowers

One of the beautiful creations of nature – flowers – can be fractals as well, and they add another dimension to the whole landscape.

Fruits/Vegetables

The repetitive patterns are also found in fruits and vegetables, and are often overlooked.

Bitter Gourd might not be a popular vegetable, but it certainly is a perfect example of fractals found in nature.

Broccoli is another vegetable displaying spiral patterns of fractal that simply looks stunning.

Plants/Trees

Something as simple as a leaf can have fractals in it, like the one below, a macro shot of the leaf shows the veins forming an irregular, recurrent pattern.

This one is my favorite, which I came across in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The crowns of individual trees (Dryobalanops aromatica or Camphor tree) form a puzzle-like pattern. This phenomenon is called the ‘Crown Shyness’ because the tips of the leaves appear to shy away from each other, leaving gaps of a few inches.

The branching tree form fractals as well.

Fractal Mountains

This is a beautiful example of fractals on the mountain range.

Its a lovely picture when you look closely at the rising moon in the background, top left, the moving cloud and fractals to enhance the view.

Clouds

If you observe the skies regularly, its likely to chance upon something like this. The majestic view of the setting sun with fractal clouds, a picture perfect moment captured in Mumbai.

The enlightening journey continues… In this second part of a woman’s recovery from Breast Cancer, you will see its profound impact on body, mind and soul, and the shamanistic rituals that have healed many from different illnesses.

The Miraculous Recovery

When Margaret de Wys returned back to New York, she checked with her doctor and found out that the cancer had disappeared and her breast was clear. I asked her views on alternative healing of cancer as compared to modern medicines, Margaret said, “People should seek traditional medicine as soon as possible.
