3 Life Paths of the Twin Flame Connection

0

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” ~ Dr. Seuss

Twin flame partnerships have recently come to the fore as the new must-have spiritual relationship. In hearing about it, we may turn to our partners and ask, is this who I’ve been sitting next to for the last few years? Hoorah!

31fdc9fb786a7b02db87c6d4573054e5

But in many ways the twin flame connection is deeply misunderstood. Our Hollywood upbringings; those that have been drip-feeding us smooch ever since that day we first set our eyes upon the silver screen have in actual fact been heavily misleading, and the path may not be romantic at all.

The twin flame connection is the one we experience in our last incarnation on the lower dimensions. It’s a connection that propels us – violently, forcefully and even painfully – forward into our superhuman and genius-like potentials. And to get to those crystalline caves we often need catalysts that may not turn out to be as sugar-sweet as we first imagined.

Life has a sense of humour, and our twin flames may actually take the form of an abusive lover, friend, fleeting meeting with a stranger on a long train journey, or even a much loved pet. In fact, it’s the soul-mates and karmic partnerships we may find ourselves having more fun with.

Yet, the ones that catapult us into ourselves in a forceful and provocative manner are most certainly the twin flame. And that my friends, is the one we will remember on our death beds.

Here are three potential pathways of the twin flame, and how they each manifest their own individual gifts to humanity:

The creative catalyst

A dramatic and often violent relationship has fuelled many a twin flame relationship residing in the upper echelons of the third dimension. That is, the upper (or inner) dimensions of genius.

These types of relationships have triggered some of the greatest works of fiction, scientific breakthroughs and greatest political manifestos of all (known) time. Those works of art that history still champions, usually informing some cultural canon or other. However, these relationships more often than not belong to the painful end of the love spectrum.

Realizing that losing the greatest love of all time will spawn your greatest creative heights as a human being is heartbreaking to say the least, and the brightest of stars have harnessed these raw emotions to create truly magnificent things.

By harnessing the darkest of emotions these people have increased their receptivity to source energy and transformed the separation with their partners into a reunion with God. By doing this they have transcended the illusion of ‘the one’ that operates in the lower dimensions, whilst accessing raw creative dialogues with their higher selves.

The creative’s twin flame triggered their access to these inner states by providing a great love who was essentially bad for them; propelling them further into unhealthy lifestyles and extremes of contrast on the road of polarity.

It isn’t for everyone and generally ‘messengers’; higher dimensional beings born voluntarily in the lower dimensions go through this in order to deliver works of art that lift the entire planet’s consciousness with a ripple of divine (but essentially materialistic) creativity in order to aid humanity’s ascension.

WARNING: When on this path it can be easy to get lost in ‘ego’, or at least the illusion of it.

The charitable catalyst

The point of the charitable catalyst however, is to release us from ego. These twin flames aid the receiver to transcend all past hurts and family karma so that they can start again. By transcending past patterns energetically by forgiving them, the ‘lost’ twin raises their vibration and opens the gateway to welcome in the reflection of their higher selves; that is, their twin flame.

Like an angel from heaven, these people usually come delivered in a surprising package; perhaps a gender or degree of beauty different to what we were expecting (they may even have a terrible disability that will question our attitudes considerably or dramatically change our lifestyles).

Together as a team, the charitable twins gain access to their compassion consciousness and dedicate their lives to altruism. This may be protecting endangered animals, setting up a children’s home, travelling to and settling in another country and building villages or campaigning against conglomerates that are threatening the planet.

The contentment catalyst

Twin flames who meet after a time of intense drama in their lives; for example a string of abusive relationships or ones that reflect the participant’s desire to find themselves or a missing fragment of their soul usually desire to find contentment with their partner.

This isn’t to say they don’t do great things together. These twins’s focus may be raising children outside the 3D matrix or building an intentional community of like-minded people around them in the form of a tribe.

Whatever the goal is for these twins, they seek to enjoy life and when they’re together everyone around them finds themselves smiling. These twins have an infectious energy together, and it’s one which spreads like wildfire, raising consciousness instantly.

By putting out their good vibrations, contentment twins like to celebrate life; sharing wholesome and nutritious foods, making music together, or teaching wellness such as yoga or meditation.

So, which life path do you find yourself in? Perhaps the creative, heartbroken and shaken to the core by this new buy inaccessible love? Or perhaps it’s the surprising package, the person who changed your entire life and wrenched you from the shallows into your true divine purpose? Life really is getting interesting isn’t it? Good luck and get ready to move mountains.

Four Ways to Ensure Emotional Alchemy

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” ~ Wayne Dyer

Emotional alchemy is the ultimate psychological leveling mechanism. It’s a way of turning the tables on feelings that have the potential to overwhelm us; to flip the script lest the script flip us. It’s a meta-tool that we can use to leverage grace, sagacity, and wisdom into our lives, despite emotional toil.

Emotions are part of life. There’s no avoiding them. And actually when we attempt to avoid or suppress them, it can be doubly dangerous. It can become a kind of festering poison that grows and grows, until it boils over into an explosion of emotion that we simply cannot control. The key is to feel the emotion, but act despite it.

Be fully present with the emotion, honor it, and then act in a way that the emotion doesn’t become our puppet master.

Easier said than done, sure, but as Epictetus said, “Life is hard, brutal, punishing, narrow, and confining, a deadly business.”

1) Feel the fear but act with courage

“What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.” ~ Charles Bukowski

The key to fearlessness is to feel the fear; be with it, own it, learn what it has to teach, and then flip the tables on it and act courageously rather than fearfully. A courageous act trumps any amount of fear. Indeed, as Brandon Stanton said, ” The way to learn courage is to be afraid of something and then do it anyway.”

Imagine a firefighter standing outside of a burning building with a baby on the top floor. He would be a fool not to fear the inferno. Fear is the natural and proper response to a deadly situation.

fearBut if he doesn’t act courageously despite the fear, then the baby dies. So he must feel the fear, but then act with courage, in order to do the right thing. With enough practice, the fear can even be used as a tool that focuses our courage into a laser point of fearlessness.

2) Feel the anger but act with humor

“A tragedy is a comedy misunderstood.” ~ William Shakespeare

Sometimes anger is the proper response toward a situation, like with murder, rape, child abuse, and ecocide, for example. Or like Jesus, filled with righteous anger, flipping over tables and flogging greedy bankers. But most of the time, anger tends to blind us to the heart of a given situation.

It overwhelms our logic and causes us to lash out pettily and frantically. Suddenly we become five year olds ranting, raving, and raging against reason, out of control. It can happen to the best of us.

The key to tempering the fires of anger is to feel the anger; honor it, allow it to fill you with hot smoke, and then flip the burning script into a comic strip. Laughing at our own anger tempers the tempest. It takes the oxygen out of our raging fire, so that we can see clearly and eventually act calmly.

Imagine experiencing road rage, feeling it boil your blood, but then acting with humor by laughing out loud at your anger instead of flipping someone the bird. At first it will feel fakes, but eventually it will be genuine. It’s easier said than done, and takes much practice, but it can be quite effective with just a little practice.

3) Feel the grief but act with steadfastness

“Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.” ~ Helen Kelleranger

Grief can be a crippling emotion. Yet this emotion, more than any other, should not be suppressed. It must be worked through, reconciled, and the pain of it honored as a precious side effect of having lost something we love. Indeed, the pain is like a trophy proving to the cosmos that we loved. We should hold it aloft, atop the mountain of our grief, and declare, with both humility and pride, “I have loved, therefore I have truly lived!”

Transforming the coal of our grief into the diamond of our strength is no easy task, but it is a necessary step in self-mastery. Much pressure is involved, which is our reconciliation regarding loss. We must feel the grief but act with steadfastness in order to truly honor our loss and not fall, crippled and holistic, into the existential black hole.

4) Feel jealousy but act with compersion

This is a tough one. Probably the most counterintuitive of the four strategies. Jealousy can be a gut-wrenching emotion that can easily tip us over into other emotions like anger, grief, and even fear. It’s one of those emotions that slaps our ego around and gives our insecurities a reason to rear their ugly heads.

It’s especially bad when the person that we’re jealous over has made a serious commitment to us and has betrayed our trust. Soul-wrenching stuff.

Turning the tables on this emotion is extremely difficult. Almost as difficult as forgiveness; which is possibly one of the most difficult things a human can do. The concept of compersion is right up there, and for some people, may even be more difficult than forgiveness. This is because practicing compersion asks us to be happy when a loved one finds love with another.

It’s the ultimate challenge of our love, asking, “If you truly love him/her you will be happy that they finally discovered love with someone else.” Sure, you would rather that love had been discovered with you, but that’s life.

If you can honestly say you love them, then you will still love them even if they find love with someone else. If not, you probably didn’t really love them to begin with. Or, your love was based upon ownership rather than relationship.

As with all things excellent, the art of emotional alchemy is not easy. It takes daily practice and deep soul searching. It takes the ability to face our emotions honestly so that we can act honorably. It takes much self-overcoming lest we inadvertently become overwhelmed.

As Rumi said, “Every moment I shape my destiny with a chisel- I am the carpenter of my own soul.”

5 Ways to Better Resonate with Who You Are and Align with Source Energy

1

“I like solitude. It is when you truly hear and speak your natural, unadulterated mind, and out comes your most stupid self as well as your most intelligent self. It is when you realize who you are and the extents of the good and the evils which you are capable of.” ~ Criss Jami, Killosophy

A person recently pointed out to me an aspect of my personality which they had noticed as being particularly significant, and it got me thinking. In fact, THIS was the personality trait that they were talking about; the tendency to overthink.

They’re right, of course, but it struck me as interesting that they saw this as a personality trait. Don’t we all overthink? Or is thinking part of our personalities?

In my opinion, the answer is no. I don’t believe we even have personalities at all. Only an emotional compass with which to measure how aligned we are with our true selves. You could say that when we are aligned with pure positive energy, which is Source itself, there are some idiosyncrasies.

The desire to bring humor to a situation, for example, or the degree to which we can understand another person’s perspective.

Like children, I suppose we do have particular personality traits, usually noticed by our caregivers rather than ourselves. But even then, it’s the caregiver’s choice whether to reflect these traits back to us, and when they do (and only then) do we begin to build this ‘personality’ in our conscious minds. So it could be illusory after all.

How to Recognize Your True Self from False Self

Here are 5 ways to better resonate with who you are and align with source energy:

Do what FEELS good

If our thoughts are distractions from the truth, or tunnel-like wormholes where we can become conceptually stuck for hours on end, then our emotions are our way out of that. As our only reliable guidance system, emotions tell us when something is off, and when it is ON.

If you only do one thing, then do what feels good. You will also find that on the labyrinth to authenticity, when you peer over the hedge of what scares you, you will often find what feels right and good crouching between the prickles.

Strike up regular communication with your higher aspect

Past the brambles of low self-worth and the thorny memories you would rather forget, your higher self is waiting serenely there, eager to advise you. Like a voice of calm at the eye of the storm, your higher self is the loving, God-like aspect of your true self.

It has a private view of the macrocosmic vista of your life and the less enjoyable bits’ place in the broader scheme of things. Make ‘I trust myself’ your daily mantra and talk to it whenever you feel lost.

Having this regular contact will lessen the gap between your current self and your true, beautiful gooey one, and bridge the gap between you and the divine.

f051fd653be2403052552b508cbf0c98Notice what feels bad

The more we do what feels good, the more we tend to notice what feels bad. Not only that, but also how easy it is to confuse the two.

Anything that constricts the throat or gives you heart burn usually indicates desperation and the desire to be accepted. Which, of course isn’t necessary because you’re already perfect. Notice what activities you engage in that your emotional guidance system screams NO! to, even though you don’t always listen.

It may seem dull, but in noticing the habits that don’t make you feel good (usually those with hedonistic overtones) the easier they will fall away to reveal your true self. This also applies to giving up words and frames of mind that don’t feel good.

Speak your truth

As the first agreement in Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements, ‘Be impeccable with your word’ is easily the hardest. By using your emotions as a guide; a mirror with which to use as a sounding board, you will better recognize when you are doing yourself a disservice by not speaking your truth.

As children, many of us learnt that the adults around us didn’t want us to speak our truth, as it was inconvenient to them. But we can unlearn that now by allowing ourselves to receive compliments and gifts from others without apology or guilt, and by speaking up when an injustice is happening right before our eyes.

Many of us are probably here to do just that, and by recognizing that we don’t need to hide this gift any longer, we will align right smack bang in the centre of our truth every time we do it.

It’s amazing the lengths we go to not speak our truths; even down to subconscious gestures such as wrapping our throat chakras in layers of scarves or avoiding conflict altogether, but it really is our door to freedom.

Set an intention to align with the higher love

Align with source energy

This can be something you do within seconds of waking up, which is why most people meditate first thing in the morning; that is before the mental soup begins being stirred up, usually with more ingredients of distraction added to the mix.

By recognizing our intentions; both when we speak to others and when we decide how we’re going to approach our day, we can decide to rise above the crap and cut through the BS and just live our truth. The moment you start making decisions like that, the whole world responds.

You literally brighten other people’s day just by setting your example, and Source energy is nothing more than pure positive love. Wrap your arms around it, dig it out, and align yourself through the art of intention.

So there we have it. It’s certainly true that action is more important than thought. So when it comes to my own particularly irritating ‘personality trait’ – to overthink – I’ll try to take my own advice and take positive action to align with the higher love. It really is quite a journey. Perhaps the most important one of all.

Powerful Prayer: How to Make Smoking a Spiritual Practice

0

About one in four deaths from cancer occur from lung cancer, which often manifests as a result of smoking cigarettes. According to the Center for Disease Control, in 2015 about 15% of US citizens considered themselves cigarette smokers. The same report showed that nearly half a million people died each year in the United States as a result of cigarette smoking.

These are startling statistics, especially considering that cigarettes are considered highly addictive, both physically and psychologically. They’re used as punctuation marks throughout the day: wake up — have a smoke, finish a meal — have a smoke, break time — have a smoke. They’re also used as a stress management tool, a quick way to decompress from work, interpersonal issues, or even the strain of boredom.

Long before we had Marlboro and Camel, tobacco was seen as a sacred herb. The indigenous people of the Americas used tobacco as a way to commune with Spirit, to set intentions, and to pray. Commercial tobacco processing has completely divorced the act of smoking from these sacred intents, and turned it into a habit that kills and injures thousands of people every year.

Tobacco as a sacred herb

“It’s not an item that we smoke at our leisure. It’s a blessing from the Creator. He gave us this tobacco to use in our ceremonies, to ask Him for guidance.” ~ Wilfrid Cleveland, President of Ho-Chunk Nation

Most, (if not all), indigenous tribes approach life using the sacred wheel, which is oriented toward the four directions. Briefly, the East is the direction of the spirit, the South is the direction of the emotions, the West is the direction of the body, and the North is the direction of the mind. (You can find other interpretations of the directions based on different traditions.) Tobacco is considered the sacred herb of the East.

For many of the indigenous tribes of the Americas, tobacco is considered the first medicine gifted to man by Great Spirit. In traditional practices, tobacco is used as a way to transmit prayers and intentions to God, as its roots deeply penetrate the ground, while its smoke rises to the heavens.

Approaching tobacco in a mindful way

“Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally.” ~ Jon Kabat-Zin

The first step to transforming an unhealthy relationship with tobacco is to become more mindful of your tobacco use. It’s so easy to buy a pack and light up without even thinking about it. Many times, I’d find myself chain-smoking, totally unaware of what I was doing until my pack started feeling suspiciously light.

The best way I’ve found to increase my mindfulness when it comes to smoking is to roll my own tobaccos. Every time I go to have a smoke, I have to take the time to feel every step in the process. I smooth out my rolling paper, set my filter to one side, pinch off a bit of tobacco, then carefully craft these ingredients into a tobacco.

Smoking this way has a few sweet side benefits, as well. It’s easier to find additive free rolling tobacco than additive free cigarettes. You can include additional ingredients like mint, lavender, or various herbs that actually combat lung inflammation, like mullein. Plus, it’s generally cheaper than tailored cigarettes.

Approaching tobacco in a sacred way

“Ask the plants of the earth and they will teach you… Who among all these does not know that the Hand of the Lord has done this?” ~ Job 12:8-9

I lived for a time in a community in Peru which focuses on studying sacred plants, and creating community leaders based on a vision of life originating from the Sacred Wheel. In this community, tobacco is approached with reverence, and the process of smoking a tobacco (to differentiate it from a manufactured cigarette) is much more involved than just lighting up.

Since tobacco is used to send prayers to Great Spirit, the first step is to pray.

sacred wheel e1493307274631I sit quietly with my tobacco, and first concentrate on making a connection with the spirit of the tobacco. This is a subtle step, that develops over time, which can be started by simply placing your attention on the energy of the tobacco. Then, I offer a short prayer, often one of gratitude and affirmation. For example: Great Spirit, thank for the opportunity to exist in this present, perfect moment.

I will then offer my tobacco to the seven directions — East, South, West, North, Above, Below, and Center — as well as to the unending spiral of life. At which point I light my tobacco.

While I’m smoking, I use only my first or second finger and my thumb to hold it, as a way to acknowledge Great Spirit (the thumb), the Divinity in us all (my finger), and the unbroken bond between the two (the circle my thumb and finger make). When I’m finished smoking, I offer a brief prayer of thanks before extinguishing the ember.

In this way, every tobacco becomes an opportunity for prayer.

Redefining your relationship

tobacco sacred herb“The more I contemplate God, the more God looks on me. The more I pray to him, the more he thinks of me too.” Bernard of Clairvaux

For years I smoked cigarettes without developing a healthy relationship with Grandfather Tobacco. Once I was introduced to Him, the transition away from my previous habits took some time, and is still developing. I won’t say I have a completely healthy relationship now, but it has improved drastically. I say this to emphasize the point that any transitioning of a relationship will take time, and effort.

If you’re motivated to cultivate a deeper and more nourishing relationship with tobacco, begin with a prayer. It doesn’t have to be as involved as I described above, but can be as simple as “I acknowledge and thank you.” Then, build from there.

The use of tobacco can be a beautiful addition to any spiritual practice, or it can be a powerful poison that leads to sickness and disease. As with all things in life, so much of its power lies in how we approach it.

3 Common Ascension Symptoms and their Meanings

1

“What you seek is seeking you.” ~ Rumi

Ascension is not as glamorous as it may sound. In fact, it can be painful. Very painful, for a while at least. As our DNA upgrades and our bodies, etheric bodies and timelines simultaneously shift into higher frequencies, it can feel akin to going through a liquidizer. And there has to be side effects. But what are these and how do they manifest themselves?

Some theorize that ringing in ears is a sign of ascending, as is mental sluggishness. When one looks in to the subject, one’s head begins to swim. There are so many ascension symptoms that it’s difficult to discern between real ailments and fleeting ones. So first, let’s take a look at what is really going on.

One theory states that the moment we make the conscious or subconscious decision that we will reach enlightenment in this lifetime (or that this is the point of life on this earthly plane), that the energetic parasites hone in.

These parasites do their absolute best to tap in to our low self worth and inject negative memories and the desire to consume in order to keep us from the truth, because as soon as we discover the truth – that it is possible to have heaven on earth – that we will transcend their cycle of energy siphoning and finally be free.

Whatever the truth may be, what we know for sure is that the more we turn inwards, the more the outside world can be increasingly challenging to live in.

If we look at it from the 3D/5D perspective, existing comfortably in the 3D world; owning material possessions, working in a job you hate for someone with questionable morals and living to engage in highly addictive activities such as binge drinking, internet shopping and owning more cars than you know what to do with certainly loses its sting.

Ask yourself; is the ringing in our ears a call to turn in? Or is it a passing loved ones who long ago stepped over into the non-physical universe who is wishing us well? Or perhaps it’s one of our spirit guides giving us advice, advice which would be better received if only we invested a little more time in raising our frequencies?

The answers may only become clear after physical death, but one thing we know for sure, we are on this path and there’s no turning back.

There are many, many symptoms you may experience. Here are 3 common ascension symptoms ones:

Fatigue

Fatigue, sometimes in the form of chronic fatigue is one of the most misunderstood ailments. Even in the holistic field, fatigue is seen as a nutritional problem, and one that must only – and can only – be fixed with food.

Fatigue could be a sign that you have an energy parasite, but it could also be that you’re processing so much on so many levels. Fatigue is an ascension symptom that often follows on from an abusive relationship where we have become exposed to negative vampirism; where energy is taken against our will in order to allow us to become more sensitive to energy transactions and the model of collective energy, but also to teach us boundaries in order to compliment our capacity for compassion.

Fatigue in a general sense is us cleansing and resolving karma at a rapid pace. It also indicates the dark night of the soul; a stage which gives us the final big-whammy, a dish of such a contrast that we sit up and take note, before ascending all the way out of the third dimension to merge with the non-physical perspective of bliss.

The inability to communicate

Where once you were eloquent with a talent for repartee, now you stutter, shake and say nonsensical things. People frown and move way from you. They even visibly switch off and look at you as if you were an alien who had just materialized in their chips and dips before hurrying away. Whatever the reaction, it hurts.

common ascension symptoms

Modern psychoanalysis would conclude that this is a symptom of social anxiety and that you need to delve deep into your past in order to identify the roots of it… or you could just get over it and force yourself to be ‘an extrovert‘. The ultimate card to pull when needing to function in our drug-fuelled society.

Spiritually speaking, some theorize that this may be an energetic parasite that has attached itself over your throat chakra to stop you from speaking the truth.

Others would say that this is a means of pushing you more forcefully into your divine life purpose; either you are experiencing how it feels to be stripped of your truth in order to intensify it, or you are meant to communicate through other means, such as working with children, becoming a spiritual counsellor, or writing your experiences down.

Headaches, lack of appetite and sleeplessness

Three main signs that your DNA is upgrading are migraines, loss of appetite and that you begin to suffer from sleepless nights. These can be particularly significant, especially if you don’t usually experience them. Again, please consult a professional if any of these persist!

common ascension symptoms

Sleeplessness; particularly waking between 2-5 pm are believed to be symptoms of awakening, as is a lack of appetite.

The foods we desire may change and we may find ourselves naturally veering away from fatty junk foods or those with a high sugar content. Instead, we may crave cleansing foods that flush out our systems as well as less food in general.

The important thing is to stay hydrated and try to avoid coffee and sugary drinks. The whole point of the current stages of collective ascension is clearing and moving into higher frequencies, so we need to give ourselves the emotional and physical space to process everything that is going on.

Headaches are linked to ascension because they’re not only a sign we need to drink more water but are also a sign we are over thinking things, which can be a trap of the false light matrix. Patterns of thought may be on overdrive and we may replay the past allowing it to collect in the back of our heads which can lead to migraines.

Let yourself off the hook, slow down and ground yourself, directing energy into the lower chakras. Sitting on the earth for ten minutes a day or actively grounding in meditation or whilst working outside will aid in this process.

Do you find yourself experiencing any of these? Are you becoming increasingly introspective and slowing down? Are you shedding relationships, bad habits and self destructive lifestyle addictions at an alarming rate? Then you might just be on the path of ascension.
